Here's a stylish way to improve ventilation  below
decks. Dorade and cowl vents not only look super-nautical,
but also scoop lots of fresh air into the cabin. They are
available in a range of styles, from familiar round and
teardrop shapes to low-profile designs more suited to modern
boats, and the interior surfaces are powder-coated in white
(other colors by special order). Most can be manufactured
in  brass,
bronze, or stainless, and optional deck plates allow the
vents to be removed when sailing. It;s not a new idea, but
these are beautifully made.
